Armed Clerk Shoots One of Two Robbers

On January 14, 2013 just before midnight in Hollywood, FL two men appeared to be preparing for a robbery near a gas station. A homeless man, who sometimes helps out around the store, spotted them and ran inside to warn the employee, telling him that two men were outside masking up. He then quickly took cover. The clerk secured his own handgun and when the robbers busted in the door and began shooting, the clerk returned fire, striking one robber and killing him. The other fled after that, but was arrested as police caught up to him. The surviving robber was 19 year old Joshua Stuart.
