On January 19, 2013 in San Antonio, TX, Johnny Reyes, 29, began quite an adventure. He started at the Leaping Lizard Bar, where he robbed the owner and manager, shooting him in the process. From there, he moved on to the St. Anthony Hotel, where he pulled a gun on a clerk and demanded money. Police have not confirmed whether he actually got any money in that robbery. He then tried to rob the Pico de Gallo Restaurant downtown, where he encountered an armed security guard who shot him twice, in the head and abdomen, when Reyes's gun jammed as he was trying to rob that restaurant as well.

His first victim underwent successful surgery and is recovering. Reyes was the only other person injured in the incident and is in stable condition, charged with three counts of aggravated robbery.

Here's one for the concealed-carry skeptics to chew on: the security guard shot Reyes twice in a crowded restaurant while under duress and nobody else was injured. I thought any time bad guys and good guys confront each other with weapons, it leads to a "wild west" shootout and they hit everyone else. I guess that didn't happen this time?
