On January 18, 2013 around 7:30 pm in Ellsinore, MO, Charles L. White, 30, broke into the home of an 82 year old man, apparently to burglarize the home. Instead, when the 82 year old confronted him, White began beating him about the head. The 82 year old, however, was armed, and was able to withdraw his pistol and shoot White in the arm, who immediately fled the scene.
Police were able to track him and arrest him on assault first degree and burglary first degree charges. The 82 year old man was treated at a local hospital for head injuries.
No one else was injured from the firing of the pistol.
