Mother with Pistol Saves Herself and 6 Year Old Daughter from Three Burglars

On January 25, 2013 around 9:30 pm in Magnolia, TX, a 33 year old mother and her 6 year old daughter were in their home when three male burglars broke into their home. The mother, however, was armed with a pistol and shot at the burglars, thinking she may have hit one, before they were able to run away.

No innocent people were injured during the altercation (i.e. no bullets went flying through walls and hit innocent people outside the house).

Challenge: Name me one tool that a 33 year old woman could use to adequately defend herself and her 6 year old daughter against three men, besides a gun.

*cricket... cricket... cricket*

That's what I thought.

Police have arrested 27 year old Adrian Granados-Yepez at a local hospital after he came in suffering from a gunshot wound. Police were able to link Granadoz-Yepez to the crime scene. They are still looking for his two accomplices.
