On December 6, 2012 just after midnight in Springtown, TX, a homeowner and his son caught 41 year old Christopher Lance Moore inside his house and pulled his pistol on him. Moore immediately decided to flee, but the homeowner and his son were able to swipe Moore's truck keys and block him in the driveway and hold him at gunpoint for police. Moore, while inside his truck, called 911 to report himself, saying, "I'm out in the country somewhere. Some guy's got a gun on me. He's going to come shoot me."

When deputies arrived and asked Moore what he was doing inside the house, he admitted to having "bad intentions." He was charged with burglary of a habitation, while the homeowner and his son were not charged. No one was injured in the incident.
