In the morning on January 11, 2013 in Bloxom, VA, a woman was home alone when she heard knocking on her door. Thinking it was a delivery man, she started to go toward the door when she looked out the window and spotted a man kneeling down near some woods by the side of her house. Suspecting that he was a lookout and the man knocking was a burglar just checking to see if anyone was home, she armed herself before the man at the front door had a chance to break in. When he did, she raised her gun and yelled, "Look what I've got!"

He immediately turned and began running away. He was armed as well and turned and fired back at her as he left the yard. She responded by firing back at him.

On a side note, "Look what I've got," has to rank pretty high on the list of the best tagline to yell when you're pointing a gun at someone while defending yourself. It ranks up there with Mrs. Patricia Cawthon's question to a knife wielding robber when he came into the van line office in she worked in and demanded money. She calmly walked over to a closet, pulled out a pistol, and asked the robber, "Where do you want it?"

In all seriousness, it's not really a laughing matter; trust me, the moment that you realize that in the next instance you may have to take a human life, humor will be the last thing on your mind, but ironically, it may be one of the best coping mechanisms you have afterwards. To lighten the mood and get some participation, who has a better catchphrase than, "Where do you want it?"
