On January 2, 2013 in Tallahassee, FL, Lance Tomberlin, 26, walked into a local convenience store, brandished a cattle prod, and demanded money from the cash register. He shocked the clerk several times before the clerk brandished a handgun, causing Tomberlin to flee from the store and jump in his truck. Deputies caught up with his vehicle and stopped it, forcing Tomberlin to try to flee on foot. He was eventually caught and charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery.

Obviously, the store clerk showed amazing restraint in 1.) allowing himself to get shocked before he pulled out his gun and 2.) letting Tomberlin escape with his life (or at least without a bullet wound) after that kind of treatment.

Obviously, if the country decides to ban guns, we're going to have to ban cattle prods too pretty quickly.
