Before 5 am on February 10, 2013 in Chehalis, WA, a 51 year old man broke into the home occupied by a 24 year old man and his wife, who were asleep at the time. Trying to avoid confrontation, the homeowner called 911 and requested help from law enforcement and then armed himself in case he had to defend himself and his wife while they waited for the police to arrive. It was a good thing that he did. Before anyone was able to respond to the phone call, the home intruder charged down a hallway at the homeowner, who shot him once and then held him at gunpoint until authorities finally arrived.

The intruder was taken to a local hospital and will be arrested for burglary and assault when he is released. No one else was injured in the incident.

  1. A word of advice to the homeowner: at least two to center of mass, then, if the goblin is still vertical, one to the melon. Instant reformation and rehabilitation of the goblin.
