Around 4:15 pm on February 18, 2013 in Dallas, TX, a homeowner heard noises coming from one the rooms in his house and grabbed his gun and went to investigate. What he found was 33 year old Deyfon Pipkins, a career criminal with multiple charges for theft, trespassing, and possession of a controlled substance, climbing in through his window.

Fearing for his life and the possibility that Pipkins was armed, the homeowner shot him while he was in the act of crawling through the window. When police arrived, Pipkins's body was still hanging in the window.

I'll give credit to his mother, who came to the scene; unlike most friends and family of these criminals who are killed in the commission of a crime who claim that they are saints, this mother told reporters that, "Yeah, it's something he would do."

No one else was injured by the gunfire and the case will be forwarded to a grand jury, by law, but it should find no fault to the homeowner and he will not face any charges.
