Man Being Threatened with an Ax Shoots Attacker in Self-Defense

Around 10 am on February 9, 2013 in Norman, OK, a man was talking to his ex when another unidentified man approached him, threatening him with an ax. When the two began fighting, the first man feared for his safety and shot the ax-wielding man in the arm.

When police arrived, they took he shooter into custody, but later released him when they found evidence that he shot him in self-defense.

No one else was injured by the gunfire.
