Lone Armed Homeowner Defends Himself Against 3 Armed Burglars; 2 Burglars Killed

On February 17, 2013 in Prospect, VA, a homeowner called 911 to report three armed individuals had broken into his home. Before police arrived, the homeowner was forced into a confrontation, which led to two of those burglars being killed and a third running away.

No one else was injured by the gunfire and all evidence indicates this was a clear case of self-defense.

More information about the burglary victims has come out. The homeowner was a 25 year old father who was sleeping next to his two year old son when all of this occurred. The three men burst into the home so loud and so violently that he thought that someone had crashed a car into the side of his house. One of the burglars was killed inside the home. The other made it onto the front lawn before collapsing.

The man, his son, his girlfriend, and his mother have all moved to live at another location in fear that the third man will return for revenge.
