Around 10 pm on February 15, 2013 in Lancaster, PA, an armed robber entered a sub shop, announced he had a gun, and demanded money. The employee, however, instead of pulling out cash, pulled out his own gun and pointed it at the robber. The last time the employees and customers saw the robber was as he was fleeing back out the door as fast as he could.

No shots were fired; no one was injured; no property was stolen. Not much as far as news goes, but this event and the outcomes are the norm over a million times per year in the United States.
