Man Uses Gun to Scare Off Home Invader Trying to Kick in the Door

Around 8 am on January 21, 2013, Corey Jackson woke up in his San Antonio home to the sound of his mom's dog barking. He went toward the front door to investigate and saw a man acting suspiciously. He yelled out, asking the man what he was doing, prompting the man to begin kicking the door in an attempt to break it down. Jackson grabbed his mom's gun and fired one shot to scare the man away. It worked and the home invader quickly fled, but not before he turned around and fired three shots at the house.

No one was injured in the incident and police are still looking for the man, who a neighbor saw running down the street with a gun in his hand. You can use your imagination to imagine what would have happened had an armed intruder kicked in the front door of an occupied home that didn't have firearm protection.
