On January 2, 2013 in Neosho Rapids, KS, two men broke into the home of an armed man, who shot one of the robbers and held the other at gunpoint until police arrived. The suspect who was shot was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. The two robbers, aged 35 and 30, are being charged with aggravated burglary, criminal damage, and possession of marijuana.
The homeowner will not be charged in the incident and no residents were injured.
