On December 8, 2012 in Memphis, TN, a man and a woman were walking up the driveway to the woman's sister's house, when Darius Davis, 22, came up behind them with a gun and tried to rob them. The woman, panicking, bolted toward the house, causing Davis to shoot at her, striking her and knocking her down. The man with her jumped in between her and David, catching a bullet himself, but not before pulling out his own concealed handgun. He shot Davis, killing him on the spot.
The victims are now out of the hospital and are recovering.
