On December 20, 2012 in Richmond, VA, a man armed with a shotgun approached a man taking out his trash outside his apartment and demanded money. The man carrying the trash, however, pulled out his concealed handgun and shot his would-be robber once, which proved to be fatal.

While police are investigating, they are already saying that it appears to be a clear case of justified self-defense.

So much for the gun control activists arguing about concealed handgun permit holders not being accurate and being indiscriminate with their fire. In fact, it's usually stories about the police that you read headlines like "40 Rounds Fired, Suspect Unharmed." Instead, it is actually impressive looking at all of the responsible citizens reported here who have both fired the minimum amount of bullets necessary to protect themselves and have done so accurately as well, with very few stories including stray shots. None of the stories that have been reported here thus far have had any bystanders injured by errant bullets.
