Older: Man Shoots Knife-Wielding Burglar and Holds Him at Gunpoint for Police

On November 28, 2012 in Grand Prairie, TX, a man heard the side window in his home shatter. Grabbing his .40 caliber handgun, he went to investigate to find Giblerto Balderas, 21, armed with a knife and crawling through his window. The man fired on Balderas, hitting him in the stomach. The man held Balderas at gunpoint until police arrived and arranged to transport Balderas to a local hospital for treatment.
