Concealed Carry Holder Steps in to Save Woman Being Beaten by Her Husband

 On January 29, 2013 around 8:50 pm in Houston, TX, a neighbor witnessed 44 year old Victor Daniel physically assaulting his own wife outside his home. When the neighbor stepped in to intervene and try to stop the attack, Daniel turned on the neighbor, hitting him in the head with a brick. The neighbor, fearing for his life, then pulled his gun and shot Daniel.

Police arrived and Daniel was pronounced dead at the scene. The neighbor was rushed to a local hospital where he was treated for a head injury and the woman was treated at the scene. Daniel was supposed to be in court the very next day to face a charge of domestic assault from a December 2012 incident and his wife had two protective orders against him at the time.

No one else was injured by the actions of the concealed carry holder. A grand jury will determine if there should be in charges brought in the case.
