Around 6:30 pm on December 28, 2012, Trezmaine Jessie Williams, 18, and Dontavius Payne, 18, attempted to rob Marcus Gainey, 30, around the 2000 block of Second Avenue in August, GA. The two teenagers weren't counting on the fact that Gainey was armed as well. Instead of getting his possessions, they each got a fair number of bullets from his gun. Williams ran away, but collapsed dead a block away. Payne collapsed at the scene and was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Both Payne and Williams had active felony warrants for armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime from a previous case. They sound like fine, upstanding citizens.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Gainey will not be charged since he was acting in self-defense.
