On the afternoon of December, 29, 2012 in Miami Gardens, FL, a robber attempted to steal a gold chain from a victim. After the victim surrendered the gold chain, seemingly judging that the chain was not worth getting into a shooting match, the robber shot the victim in the leg. As he was falling, the victim pulled out his own concealed handgun and shot the robber, killing him.
The robber would have probably been better off letting the victim keep his leg and call it good with the gold chain. Unlike gun control activists try to claim, most concealed handgun carriers are not going to pull out their guns to settle petty arguments. But as soon as he felt his life was threatened, the victim ended the robber's rather quickly.
