Description of Bad Guy(s): | Jacob Rodriguez, 31, who had a history of making terroristic threats, jumped a fence and charged at a man with the intent to hurt him | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | Jose Carrillo, an off-duty detention officer, who had received calls from individuals warning him that Rodriguez was coming to hurt him. Carrillo called 911 to report the threats, but before police could arrive, Rodriguez jumped Carrillo's fence and charged at him, forcing Carrillo to shoot him | ||||

Outcome: | Rodriguez was transported to a local hospital and has been charged with terroristic threats and trespassing. No one else was injured by the gunfire. Carrillo has been put on paid administrative leave according to policy, but no charges have been filed against him | ||||
