Description of Bad Guy(s): | Joshua Renick, 31, broke into a house; he likely was working with accomplices. Renick has a significant criminal history and was convicted of criminal confinement, resisting law enforcement, and armed robbery in 2007 (apparently, our prisons are too full of non-violent drug offenders and there wasn't enough room to keep real menaces to society like this guy). | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | Chad Heugel, 28, an armed homeowner, who encountered the intruder in his home and shot him | ||||

Outcome: | Renick was pronounced dead at the scene. The others who were likely involved fled the scene. No one else was injured by the gunfire. Heugel has not been charged with any crime | ||||
