Armed Shop Owner Confronts Two Burglars at 3 am; One Makes Fatal Mistake of Charging Him

Description of Bad Guy(s):		Jesse Ray Walker, 28, and Brandon Joe Hanks, two burglars who were stealing copper piping and wire from a plumbing and heating shop. The shop had been burglarized three previous times in the past three months
Description of Good Guy(s):		Steve Hall, owner of the plumbing and heating shop who lives next door. Hall was awakened by an alarm, which had been installed in his shop after the recent rash of break-ins. After calling 911, he armed himself and went to investigate, finding the two burglars carting off his hard-earned property
Type of Gun Used:		Handgun
Outcome:		Hall told the burglars to stop, but Walker began charging at him, forcing Hall to shoot him once in self defense. Walker tried to run away but collapsed a short distance away with a gunshot wound to his torso. Hanks fled. Walker was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured by the gunfire. Hall has not been charged with any crime; the sheriff went on the record saying that he has the right to protect himself
