Description of Good Guy(s): | Unnamed homeowner, who caught the thief and shot at him, causing the thief to drop the A/C and begin running. The homeowner gave chase as he called police. Other neighbors also helped out. | ||||
Type of Gun Used: | Handgun | ||||
Outcome: | Police used a canine to locate and positively ID the burglar; when asked why he was stealing the A/C unit, the burglar responded back with, "I needed it." That's cool; I need a new Corvette; maybe I'll just go steal one. The homeowner's gun was legal. No one was injured by the gunfire and the homeowner has not been charged with any crime | ||||
