Description of Bad Guy(s): | Carlos Vazquez, 22, who, along with an accomplice, was actively trying to break into a mobile home | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | David Delledonne, 59, armed resident, who repeatedly warned Vazquez through the door after catching him trying to break in that he was armed and would shoot him if he kept trying to break in. After Vazquez ignored the warnings and just before he was actually about to bust through the front door, Delledonne shot once through the door, grazing Vazquez's head and causing him and his accomplice to flee | ||||

Outcome: | Vazquez was arrested and charged with multiple crimes. No one else was injured by the gunfire. Initially, Delledonne was charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment, but his lawyer successfully argued for the DA to drop all charges, since he was protected by Pennsylvania Castle Doctrine | ||||
