Description of Bad Guy(s): | Unidentified 22 year old homeless man who had been spotted earlier that day stealing items from local properties. | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | Robin Boyer, 58, caught the vagrant stealing property and confronted him, which led to an altercation. During the altercation, Boyer fired once, hitting the burglar in the head and killing him | ||||
Type of Gun Used: | Shotgun | ||||
Outcome: | No one else was injured by the gunfire. Police are required to initially classify the shooting as a homicide, but no arrests have been made and it is unlikely Boyer will be charged with any crime | ||||
