Home Invader with Knife Stopped by Homeowner with Gun

On December 1, 2012 just before midnight, a robber with a knife broke into a house in Nederland, TX through a french door. The homeowner, who heard the intruder breaking in while his wife and child were home, grabbed his gun and confronted the intruder. He fired one shot and the intruder surrendered and was arrested shortly afterwards when the police arrived. No one was injured.

We'll never know what would have happened if the homeowner did not have a gun; it could easily have been three people murdered with a knife. At the very least, the homeowner saved his own property and the property of all future victims of this robber and he did so responsibly.
