While this event was picked up by some main stream media, it failed to garner any significant attention.

As Samuel Williams sat in an internet cafe in Ocala, FL on July 18, 2012, two 19 year old men entered the internet cafe while yelling at the patrons, warning them not to move; one was swinging a baseball bat while the other brandished a handgun.

When the opportunity presented itself, Williams pulled out his licensed and concealed .380 caliber handgun and began firing at the would-be robbers, who retreated immediately without hesitation. No patrons were hurt and no property was stolen in the incident.

It is impossible to know if someone would have been hurt had Williams not been armed or had not acted, but it is fairly likely that his actions at least prevented an armed robbery of everyone in the internet cafe and perhaps future armed robberies that would have been committed by these two teens, some of which may have resulted in injury or death.
