Description of Good Guy(s): | Unnamed homeowner, who was awakened by the noise, grabbed a shotgun, and investigated. He spotted the intruder and told him to leave, but the intruder started to come at him. The homeowner, fearing for his life and the lives of his two children inside, shot the intruder. | ||||

Outcome: | Nance was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured by the gunfire. Police have indicated that it is a clear case of self-defense and the homeowner will not be charged. | ||||
