Description of Bad Guy(s): | James Cody Harris, 38, who first tried to break into a home and was then caught going through a car parked outside a house. When the owner got into a fight with him, Harris retreated, shouting, "I'll be back and I'm going to put a bullet between your eyes." | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | Richard Serrano, 55, who, after hearing Harris's threat, immediately had his wife call 911 and he grabbed his hand gun. Before the police were able to respond, Harris returned. Not knowing if he had a gun, Serrano fired one round at Harris, who fled. Police found him in a nearby alley. | ||||
Type of Gun Used: | Hand Gun | ||||
Outcome: | No one was injured by the gunfire. Harris was arrested and had evidence of his robbery on his person. Serrano has not been charged. | ||||
