Description of Good Guy(s): | Sandra Mize, 63, grandmother of 10, standing at 5'1", who heard her back door splintering while she was asleep, grabbed her handgun, and confronted the intruder, who initially advanced on her until she shot the gun. She missed him, but he immediately collapsed, giving her time to call 911. | ||||

Outcome: | Denny was arrested by police; no one was injured by the gunfire. Mize was not charged. In fact, Police Chief Frank Straub said "Having a firearm in your home for personal protection, I guess we got to the the value of that last night." | ||||
