Location:
Fresno, CA
Crime Prevented:
   Assault, Murder
Description of Bad Guy(s):
 Two gang members who were on a man's property harassing him
Description of Good Guy(s):
 Unnamed resident who confronted the two with a machete and told them to leave.
Type of Gun Used:
 Rifle
Outcome:
 The gang members grabbed baseball bat and hit the machete out of the resident's hands. Other family members tried to help, but they were about to lose the fight when the resident secured a rifle and shot one of the gang members in the torso. It ended the confrontation. No one else was injured by the gunfire. The homeowner will not be charged for shooting, since it was in self-defense, but he was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm... Apparently, firearm laws don't matter to felons. Who knew?
