Description of Bad Guy(s): | Three armed burglars, wearing masks and rubber gloves, initially knocked on the front door of a home. When there was no answer, they went around to the back and were about to kick in the door | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | Shirley Roberts, in her 50s, an armed homeowner, who could see well enough through the back door that they were about to kick the door open. She fired one round through the glass, hitting one of the men | ||||

Outcome: | The burglars fired one shot at the house as they ran away, but did not hit anyone. They called 911 as they sped away and were caught by police at a local hospital. No one else was injured by the gunfire. The homeowner will not be charged with any crime | ||||
