Description of Bad Guy(s): | Christopher Tramain, 21, who has a criminal record already, had broken into the same garage for the second night in a row, as well as the garages of neighboring houses | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | Jared Martin, Iraq War Veteran, who was awoken with his wife in the middle of the night, grabbed his handgun, and went to investigate, finding Tremain near his fence. He ordered him into the light and Tremain took off running. Martin chased him down and dragged him back to his house where they waited for police. | ||||

Outcome: | Tremain was arrested on multiple burglary counts. No shots were fired. The Martins, both concealed handgun license holders, discuss firearms safety and shoot-don't shoot scenarios with their 12 year old daughter frequently and will use this as another example of clear-headed decision making by a responsible gun owner | ||||
