Description of Bad Guy(s): | Travis Weddle, armed, broke into a home and was stealing a tv when he woke up the homeowner | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | John Lewis, 77, was asleep but heard an intruder in his home. When he went to investigate, Weddle threatened him to go back to bed or he'd shoot him. Lewis closed his bedroom door, retrieved his handgun, and returned, shooting three times at Weddle, hitting him twice | ||||

Outcome: | Weddle ran out, but realized that he left his car keys inside. He came back and yelled that he left his car keys. Lewis called police and Weddle decided to walk, making it about a mile before he called police to report that he'd been shot. No one else was injured by the gunfire. Police told Lewis that he did the right thing and will not be charged with any crime | ||||
