Description of Bad Guy(s): | Bruce Ross Rogers, 39, who broke into an apartment claiming to have a gun in an attempt to attack the occupants inside. He had already been arrested in April for strangling and beating the same woman he was trying to attack in this incident | ||||
Description of Good Guy(s): | 46 Year Old Woman, 19 Year Old Man, and two teenage girls, who were caught inside the apartment when he broke in. They locked themselves in the bedroom and called the police. | ||||

Outcome: | Police waited around outside the apartment while the four victims were trapped in the bedroom. The intruder finally busted through the bedroom door, where he was shot and killed by one or two of the adults inside the room; both had weapons and it is unclear who shot him. No one else was injured by the gunfire. The adults have not been charged with any crime. The police, of course, did nothing except help clean up the crime scene, but contributed absolutely nothing to protecting the lives or welfare of the victims trapped inside. They were on their own to take care of themselves. It's a good thing they were armed. | ||||
